Planning & Development

The SPF Planning Committee focuses on government policy changes to the planning system. This includes legislation, policy circulars and guidance including PANs (Planning Advice Notes) and the SPP (Scottish Planning Policy). The committee also comments on local and strategic development plans as well as wider issues affecting the planning system including development economics, developer charges and planning fees. Current issues include:

better planning services
review of planning fees
future of development charges
strategic development plans
local development planning and liaison
key agency liaison
development economics
compulsory purchase orders
