SPF recognises planning for housing growth as a necessary strategic priority for the Scottish Government if ambitious plans for sustainable economic growth are to be realised.

SPF is concerned however that there is greater promotion of the concept of mixed-use development and that again there is a serious question mark over the provision of resources for the planning services.  SPF's comments may be accessed here.
